The Cost of Living Crisis is a Climate Crisis

By various - COP 26 Coalition, June 16, 2022

Did you know the cost of living crisis and the climate crisis have the same cause and solutions? On Saturday 18 June trade unions (marched) in London protesting the Cost of Living Crisis.

Energy bills have skyrocketed. Transport costs are increasing. Real inflation is in double figures whilst wages are being kept down, leaving people facing crippling food bills and unable to heat their homes. It is critical that the Cost of Living Crisis is seen as part of the Climate Crisis and it is vital that we stand in solidarity with trade unionists and others at the sharp end of this crisis to strengthen both movements, understanding that our struggles are the same.
